The People's Republic of China, China's power industry, has undergone tremendous changes since the early 1990s, becoming the second largest power consumer in the world, followed by the United States.
In April 1996, after the implementation of an electric power law, it was a major event in China's electric power industry. According to the law,
Promote the development of the electric power industry to protect the legitimate rights and interests of investors, operators and consumers, and regulate the generation, distribution and consumption.
China is rich in energy. The country has the world's third largest coal reserves and huge hydropower resources. However, in the northeast (the location of coal yards does not match Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning), in the north (Shanxi, Shaanxi and Henan), in the southwest (Sichuan, Yunnan and Tibet), in the east (Shanghai Zhejiang, the rapidly growing industrial load center) and in the south (Guangdong, Fujian).
